I would like to thank you for your interest in supporting the real changes that are coming to Jefferson County government with the passage of the County Charter. 

In August of 2010, the primary will take place to select Democratic and Republican candidates to run for the first elected Jefferson County Council Seats. 

With this being a unique time in the history of Jefferson County, I believe that it will take people with experience in the council style of government to assist in making a smooth transition from the three member council to the seven member council.  Because of this, I am eager to announce my candidacy for the new Jefferson County Council seat serving District 5.

Having served nearly six years on the Arnold City Council, from 2002 until 2007, I was able to learn the working of the council form of government from the inside.  Serving on a council can be a daunting task with everything from reviewing million dollar budgets, to writing new laws that impact peoples' daily lives.  I would like to bring my years of experience to the 5th District Council seat and help move the New County Council in the Right Direction.
